Our First Gatherings
Lorîk û Lîstik: First Steps in Language and Rhythm 0–3 years · Kurdish
- Language: Kurdish
- Age group: 0–3 years
- Format: Parent + baby (taking part together)
- Places: 8
- Venue: Factory Forty
Life's first melody meets the warmth of our mother tongue. In this workshop designed for our little ones aged 0–3, we set off on a sensory adventure with ancient Kurdish lullabies and rhythm games.
While the babies discover sounds with wooden rhythm instruments, parents strengthen their language and physical bond with their children. You are warmly invited to join our circle for a safe, warm and melodic start.
Puppet Theatre: A Stage of Colourful Worlds 4–6 years · Kurdish
- Language: Kurdish
- Age group: 4–6 years
- Format: Small-group session (maximum 15 children + 1 accompanying adult)
- Venue: Factory Forty
Come and meet the big dreams of little explorers! Within the multilingual, multicultural rhythm of Belgium, we are creating an artistic space where children can connect with their own mother tongue.
At our puppet theatre, we don't just watch a show; we bring the warmth of Kurdish to the stage through interactive stories and lively characters.
In these small-group sessions with limited places, we offer a friendly atmosphere where every child can look the characters in the eye, ask questions in their own language and become part of the story.
Your seat is waiting for you at our very first show, where we blend the many voices of the world outside with the richness of our mother tongue!
Story Day: The Magic of Words 6–8 years · Kurdish (Kurmanji)
- Ziman / Language: Kurdish (Kurmanji)
- Age group: 6–8 years
- Format: Small-group session (maximum 15 children – children take part on their own)
- Venue: Factory Forty
A journey into the endless world of stories! For children growing up in Belgium's multilingual, dynamic fabric, their mother tongue is not just a way of communicating; it is the strongest foundation on which they build their dreams.
At this special gathering, words are not simply heard in the fairy-tale depths of Kurdish; children freely rebuild them in their own imaginations.
In these sessions, which centre on focus and each child's own imagination, parents can relax and chat in the coffee corner while the children explore their inner worlds and their own hero stories in the story circle. You are invited to share in the magic of words, in our own voice.

Our Invitation to You: In this circle, we see families, educators and artists as our fellow travellers too.
- Join This Flow Too: What drives us is partnership, not hierarchy. Whether you play an instrument, are a good storyteller or simply want to say, "I'd like to play my part in this too", professional or amateur, everyone has something they can do for Kurdish and for children.
Come and share the excitement of our founding days, and stay in the flow!
